It is one of the very popular social media networks that the three former employees of PayPal created. This social media network allows individuals to watch the latest videos and upload videos they want to, and it also allows sharing videos on other social networks. It was created in February 2005, and in late 2006, it was owned by Google. YouTube allows users to have their accounts on YouTube, making it easier and simpler for users to upload and share videos. It is one of the largest video-sharing websites in the entire world.
Other social media networks include Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr, Flickr, MySpace, tagged, meetup, classmates, etc.
In this competitive environment, people worldwide have replaced their personal computers with their smartphones. Keeping this in mind, an app for YouTube has also been developed by the developer. With this development, people can enjoy watching videos anywhere, i.e. they are connected to the internet. YouTube users can now upload videos anytime they want to, and don’t have to open their laptops or personal computers.
Substitute for YouTube is Dailymotion, where all videos are available too. After YouTube was banned in Pakistan, people switched to daily motion. It also allows users to view, upload and share videos.
Pakistan banned the youtube website on 22nd February 2008 due to a number of different reasons. Along with Pakistan, China, Iran, and Turkmenistan also banned YouTube in September 2012. The reasons behind YouTube being banned in Pakistan are as follows;
There was a violation of national laws that includes the following:
1. Intellectual property and copyright protection laws
2. National security legislation
3. Hate speech violation, ethical-based laws and morality-based laws.
- Inappropriate videos for youth were accessible easily.
- Youtube videos distract students from studying and employees from paying attention to their work.
The main reason for YouTube being banned in Pakistan was the response against the clips of anti-Islamic films. It is ethically wrong to make non-sense videos against anyone’s religion and post them on websites. This was the intolerance of Muslims against their religion.
The ban on YouTube was lifted in 2016 in Pakistan as a local version was made available.
Ethical law clearly says that never go against anyone’s religion, as all people have the right to follow the religion they believe is right.
The result of uploading clips of anti-Islamic films has finished the tolerance level of Muslims, and they banned YouTube, which is still forbidden. The decision to ban YouTube was taken by the Pakistan telecommunication authority.
Firstly, an order was given to block YouTube for containing Dutch films.The reprinting of Muslim’s beloved MUHAMMAD(S.A.W) cartoons made Muslims very, very angry as it was a criticism against Islam. This ban was lifted on 26th February 2008 when the clips were removed.
Later, on 20th May 2010, YouTube was again banned by Pakistan as there was criticism against Islam. This was intolerable. The political parties had sufficient discussion with the media regarding the nonsense going on YouTube. As the clips were removed from YouTube, the ban was again lifted on 27th of May 2010.
On 17th September 2013, the Pakistan telecommunication authority ordered to block of YouTube as clips were posted that were an insult to Muslim religion.Since that time, YouTube is still blocked in Pakistan. We can see that the government is not at all interested in unblocking YouTube in Pakistan as after 17th September’s block, no action has been taken by the Pakistani government to unblock the YouTube website in the future.
Using Youtube Without any Software
There are a number of people who are willing to use YouTube (one of the greatest social media networks) for work, fun or to pass their time. WeWe have come up with some tricks that are used to run YouTube without any software or even without a proxy.

Step-1. Open the youtube website with a secure link.
The secure link is https:// before every link. For opening the youtube with secured link, you have to follow few steps which are as follows,
i. Open the control panel and go to network connections.
ii. Right-click on the network adapter and then open properties.
iii. You will see internet protocol on the screen, click on it and go to the properties.
iv. Setup the manual ip for the DNS server address.
You can download the add-on for Firefox or Google Chrome browser.
Step-2. Surely you will see an error on the videos you will open after opening the website.
Opening the youtube website with secured link do not mean that you can easily see the videos, you will have to reload the page again and again. It may consume a lot of your time but after a while you will be able to see the videos and download option will also appear.
Step-3. Now, you can simply download the video that you are willing to watch.
You can watch these videos at any time, even if you are not logged into that website.
